    Position: supine with legs flexed
  • First Maneuver: Fundal Grip 

    Search for: Presentation
    Part of the fetus is the fundus
    Findings:
    • Head: hard, round, movable
    • Buttocks: soft, irregular, difficult to move
  • 2nd Maneuver: Umbilical Grip

    Search for: Fetal back for FHT
    Findings:
    • fetal back: smooth, hard surface
    • front: irregular knobs and lumps - hands, feet, elbows, knees
  • 3rd maneuver: Pawlick's Grip

    Search for: Fetal position and engagement
    Findings:
    • Head: Hard and round, easily palpable.
    • Breech: Softer and irregular, often feels like a large mass.
  • 4th maneuver: PelvicGrip
    Search for: Fetal engagement and attitute
    Findings:
    • Engaged: Presenting part is firm and low in the pelvis.
    • Not Engaged: Presenting part is still higher in the abdomen.
