  Clinical Manifestations:

  • changes in mental status
  • sudden weight gain
  • peripheral edema
• Hypoosmolar Imbalance

  Management:

  • fluid restriction
  • administration of diuretics as prescribed.
  • infusion of hypertonic saline per IV
  • promote safety
