  Accused applied force, or threatened to apply force

  Application or threat of force was intentional and reckless

  No lawful justification or excuse
• Accused applied force, or threatened to apply force

  Threat of force or actual physical force
• Application or threat of force was intentional and reckless

  Intented to deprive the complaitant of liberty or cause discomfort, insult, damage, injury or pain

  Reckless conduct can also be used to rpove they acted with intention
• No lawful justification or excuse

  Did so without any authority or beyond the level authorised by the law
