Victory at Jaffa

• At the end of July 1192, Saladin launched an attack on Jaffa
• Richard arrived and led the attack against Saladin’s army when it seemed like the city would be lost
• Saladin vowed to reattack Jaffa and on 5th August he surprised the crusaders with a second effort
• Richard once again defeated Saladin
