    • What is a Type II error?
When a psychologist rejects the experimental hypothesis (so accepts the null hypothesis)
    • Describe type 11 error?
In reality there WAS A SIGNIFICANT relationship/difference between what was being investigated so they should have accepted the experimental hypothesis but did NOT
    • When could Type II errors happen?
When you run your statistical test using a significance level that is TOO STRINGENT eg p<0.01 or the 1% level
      • Essentially only allowing for 1% of the time your results being down to chance to achieve statistical significance
