Homeostasis

Cards (3)

  • Living cells must maintain stable internal conditions and all living cells have mechanisms in place that allow them to control their internal environment .
  • An example of homeostasis is when a cell must closely regulate the water content in it. If the cell takes too much water it'll rupture and die. If it takes is too little water it will shrivel and die.
  • The cell membrane really helps maintain homeostasis in the cell.
