  • What is Extranuclear Inheritance?
    It is when external genetic material outside of the nucleus is inherited. i.e Mitochondria and Chloroplasts. Since this genetic material is found in the cytoplasm, it is also called cytoplasmic inheritance.
    * Mitochondria and Chloroplasts are found in the nucleoid.
  • What is the genome composed of?
    The genome is composed of a singular circular chromosome containing a double-stranded DNA.
