• Bandura and richard walters showed videos to the children where the adult behaved aggressively towards the bobo doll
• One group Saw the adult praised for the behaviour whilst the second group was punished
• The third group (control group) saw aggression without consequences
• The children were given their own doll and the first group acted most aggressively and the second was least aggressive
• According to SLT behaviour is learnt through observing and modelling
• A model is someone we admire and whose behaviour we imitate
• Models may be live or symbolic
• Adding a consequence can encourage or discourage behaviour, however learnt knowledge is still there
