Patient tan

• Paul broca discovered broca’s area whilst treating a patient called leborgne (Tan)
• Tan understood spoken language but was unable to produce any coherent words and could only say Tan
• After Tan’s death broca conducted a post mortem on Tan’s Brain and discovered he had a lesion On his left frontal lobe
• Tans condition was called expressive aphasia
