• Ecosystem - an environment which supports life - abiotic and biotic factors. 
• Environment - the large scale physical surroundings of an organism including all abiotic factors. 
• Population - all the members of one species living in an environment at the same time 
• Community - all the organisms of all the different species living together in a habitat 
• Habitat - a specific area where organisms live 
• Niche - the role of a particular species of organism in the community and the way it responds to environmental factors. 
• Biotic - an influence of an organism due to forms of life
• Abiotic - non-living environmental influence. 
• Intraspecific - competition between members of the same species. 
• Interspecific - competition between members of different species.
