The blueprint or structure of a research plan. Consists of key concepts and assumes relationships of the research project. It is a guide for researchers so that they are more focused on the scope of their studies
Two types of framework
Theoretical, conceptual
Theoretical framework
It uses studies that anchor on time tested theories that relate the findings of the investigation to the underpinning relevant theory of knowledge.
Conceptual framework
It refers to the actual ideas beliefs and tentative theories that specifically support the study.
Conceptual framework according to Regoniel, 2010
It describes the relationship between specific variables identified in your study. It is also called a 'research paradigm"
