measure maximum mass of salt able to be dissolved in water at a temp
steps:
100cm3 of water in beaker
record temp
add 5g of salt and stir - look to see any undissolved salt
if all has dissolved then keep adding 5g until there is excess at bottom of beaker - note how much salt has been used - this will be a saturated solution
