• Republic Act No. 7394 - Consumer Act of the Philippines

  • The State will protect the interest of the consumer, promote his/her general welfare and establish standards of conduct for business and industry
• • Republic Act No. 3720 The Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act.

   - this law states the policy of the government in ensuring safe and good quality food, drugs and cosmetics and regulating the production , sale ,to protect the health of the people.

  Proclamation No. 822 - this proclamation states that the protection of the consuming public against unreasonable price increases or fraudulent practices
• Republic Act No. 3740 - this act penalizes fraudulent advertising, mislabeling, or many product
• Republic Act No.428 - this act declares illegal the possession ,sale or distribution of fish or other aquatic animals disabled or killed by means of dynamite, other explosive devices or toxic substances and provides penalties
• Executive Order No. 913 - it strengthens the rulemaking and adjudicating powers of the DTI in order to further protect the consumer.
• Presidential Decree No. 187 - it prescribes the use of the metric system of weights and measures as the standard measurement for all products,commodities, materials utilities and services in all business and legal transactions
• Act No. 3740 - it states that products ,commodities of any kind Imported or locally manufactured shall be properly packed and labeled, marked or branded to represent the true character, amount, value ,contents, properties and conditions of the articles.
• Republic Act No. 8172 - this act promotes salt iodization nationwide.It requires the DOH to undertake the salt iodization program.
• Republic Act No. 8976 - this act establishes the Philippine Food Fortification Program. It is mandatory to increase the nutritive value of rice, sugar, flour and cooking oil.

• Acupuncture - this technique that involves piercing the skin with thin long needles at specific anatomical points to relieve pain or illness..
