Trauma to the Eye

• Immediate copious flushing of the eye with water if acid, alkali, or other irritating substances had been introduced into the eyes.
• If foreign body is lodged into the cornea, NEVER attempt to remove it
• Cover eyes loosely with dressings to limit movement of eyes and prevent further damage and see a physician immediately
