    Causative agent: group A betahemolytic streptococcus (GABHS)
  • GABHS renal complication: Acute Glomerolunephritis
  • GABHS migration to organs take 2 weeks

    • 2 major + Hx
    • 1 major + 2 minor + Hx
  • Rheumatic Heart Fever drug of choice: Penicillin taken for 5-10 days

    • C - Carditis
    • A - Arthritis, poly
    • S - Subcutaneous Nodules (seen in areas with less SC such as bony prominences)
    • E - Erythema Marginatum (redness in trunk)
    • S - Sydenham's chorea (St. Vitus Dance; worm-like movements of arms and fingers)
