    Feminism is a conflict perspective (structural approach) that fights to achieve gender equality.
  • The family
    Feminists see the family as the prime site for female oppression. For example, Domestic violence and stereotypical roles. Family life - male control over women (domestic labour)
  • Women
    Feminists see previous views of the family as 'male stream' (written by men about men).
    Women perform more childcare tasks and are more likely to give up their jobs for their children.
  • Social forces
    Feminists believe gender equality is not a result of biological factors, but a result of social factors and it is in fact socially produced. (Nature Vs Nurture debate)
