    -Damage can result in Brocas aphasia where speech is slow and laborious but comprehension remains intact

    -Found in left temporal lobe
    -Involved in language comprehension
    -Damage causes Wernickes aphasia where speech is fluent but nonsensical and comprehension is impaired

    -Right is more involved in spatial awareness, facial recognition and processing visual imagery
