Marxism and Crime

• White collar crime - criminal acts committed by members of the middle class and linked to their employment e.g. fraud. These crimes get unreported
• Corporate crime - crimes committed in the interest of a business e.g. health and safety violations
• Marxists see crime as being directly caused by the social inequality caused by capitalism.
