    • In early adulthood individuals have reached their physical maturity
    • Physical abilities are at their peak, including muscle strength, reaction times and sensory abilities.
      • Hand- eye coordination is at its peak
      • Young adults have now reached their full height+ strength
      • Reaction times and manual dexterity also reach their peak
      • Sexual characteristics are fully developed
      • Women are their most fertile and can become pregnant and lactate
    • AFTER 28:
      -Decline in physical capabilities
      -These changes may go unnoticed towards the end of their life stage if:
      - Individuals have unhealthy diets
      - Maintain an unhealthy life style
      - Don't take regular exercise
      - gradually lose strength+ speed
    • During this stage pregnancy may occur
      Women may experience physical + emotional changes
      During pregnany hormones released can cause mood changes
    • The increase in progesterone maintain pregnancy while this increase in oestrogen may be responsible for sickness some suffer from.

      Hormones affect the shape and appearance of breasts in readiness for lactation (nipples and dark arealas darken) sensitivity increases in breasts
    • MENOPAUSE (45-55):
      The ending of the female fertility including the cessation of menstruation and reduction in the production of female sex organs
    • PERIMENOPAUSE:
      When a women in their 40s- the ovaries produce less oestrogen.
      Ovaries don't produce eggs every month
      This stage is generally given the name perimenopause transition, this lasts until the menopause
    • PERIMENOPAUSE:
      The stage o perimenopause ends when a women has not had a monthly period for 12 months.
      During this period women can experience emotional and physical symptoms
    • Around 40-45 years old women reach the end of their reproductive years
    • Women experience:
      • Hot flushes
      • Mood swings
      • Fatigue
      • Loss of libido
      • Urine leak when coughing/Sneezing
      • Irregular/heavy periods
      • Urine urgency
      • Trouble sleeping
    • Pregnant women experience sudden and dramatic increases in oestrogen and progesterone. They also experience changes in the amount and function of a number of other hormones
