• What is the specific presentation for Alzheimer's disease?

  Presenting symptoms -> usually loss of recent memory & difficulty with executive function and/or nominal dysphasia

  Also loss of episodic memory

  Cognitive deficits -> aphasia, apraxia & agnosia
• What medications can be used for Alzheimer's disease?

  Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine)

  Memantine -> blocks NMDA receptors
