  The findings of a field experiments are more realistic and have more validity so can be generalized to the real world
• The Hawthorne effect = if the participants are aware of the experiment, they may change their behavior which affects the result and the validity
• Deception is often used in an experiment not telling the participants what the experiment is, which then there is a lack of consent and possibly harm to the participant
