• Physical characteristics

  • Shorter than average
  • Wide, 'webbed' neck
  • Puffy hands and feet
  • Impaired hearing
  • Overactive thyroid
  • Amenorrhoea (do not have a menstrual cycle)
  • Undeveloped ovaries - infertility
• Psychological characteristics


  • Higher than average reading ability
  • Lower than average spatial, visual memory and mathematics ability
  • Socially immature
