• monotheism the the belief in one God only. Some Hindus see the different gods and godesses as aspects or representations of Brahman and Brahmans different qualities
• The trimurti is the three most important aspects of Brahman
• Brahma is the creator and he isnt worshipped as much because the world is already created. He has four heads to see in every direction and four arms which carry symbold of power such as a bow

• Krishna is the human form of Vishnu and is said to have come down to Earth to reguide and protect humans showing them the right path to be following
• Shakti is the female force that has power and energy. Shakti is the consort of Shiva for Shaivites
• Shakti is the creative energy of motherhood and fertility
• Shaktis power is shown in her murti by the wepons in her eight arms and the tiger she rides
• an avatar is an appearance or an incarnation of a god. They take form of an animal or a human when humanity is in a great time of need and need saving from the danger of evil (e.g Rama fought Lord Ravana)
• satya yuga is the first age and it is the golden age
• treta yuga is the second age and 3/4 is goodness and 1/4 is sin
• dvarapara yuga is the third age and two parts is good and two parts is evil
• Kali yuga is the last age the one we are currently in, Kali means conflic and 3/4 is tainted with courruption and 1/3 is virtue
• Other forms of Shakti include Kali, Durga and Parvarti
• Rajas is controlled by Brahma and is motivation which makes us want to do something. It is passion and activity
• Tamas is controlled by Shiva, it is ignorance and destruction. It prevents us from doing the right thing and prevents spirituality
• The Tridevi is the female consorts of the Trimurti. Lakshmi and Vishnu. Brahma and Saraswati and Parvarti and Shiva
• savtta is controlled by Vishnu, is goodness light wisdom and truth, it allows a person to develop spirituality
• Shiva destroys the evil in the world which keeps us safe his hand makes the 'fear not' symbol which implies that his destruction is under control and he does it to keep us safe
