Social releases/ survival

• Babies have social releases which ‘unlock‘ the innate tendency of adults to care for them
• These social releasers are either physical or behaviours
• Physical- the typical baby face features and baby proportions
• Behaviours: things babies do that like smiling make the caregiver care for them
