Poverty

• there was a great piece of cold roast and there was great piece cold boiled and there were mince pies and plenty of beer
• monstrous shirt collar
• remember upon christmas day who made lame beggars walk and blind men see
• the woman laughing and leaning forward ... bed-curtain
• you may look through that shirt till you eyes ache .... they'd have wasted if it hadn't been for me
