  Caused by hypersecretion of adrenal cortex hormones - 3S
• Cushing's Disease Etiology:

  • Causes: Adrenal Adenoma & Steroids
• Cushing's Disease Appearance:

  • Face: Full-moon face
  • Neck: Buffalo hump
  • Obesity: Central/trunkal
  • Skin: Purple Striae
• Cushing's Disease

  • Diuretics

  K sparing or K wasting: Sparing

  • For high sugar - OHA or Insulin
• Dexamethasone Suppression Test

  • 11 pm - give Dexamethasone (route: oral)
  • 8 am - check plasma control level
