    Reward based off contribution.
    Achieved through abolition of private ownership and introduction of state control of production. E.g, USSR.
  • Class
    Class based on economic division.
    Decided by relation to production.
    State will dissolve after workers rights consolidated.
  • Democracy
    Rejects democracy to enable socialism.
    Early 19th century, industrialisation brought poverty and exploitation.
    Working class had little say in politics.
    Capitalism constructed by the ruling class to oppress working class.
    Workers never see fruit of labour, given only subsistence.
    State an instrument of oppression and power.
