• Hindus would honor a guru by donating to his ashram, making point of going to listen to his sermons. They might buy gifts directly for him such as a new set of clothes. They would bow down and touch their feet to humiliate themselves and show physically the the guru is higher than them.
• Hindus would honor elders by listening to their advice and seeking their advice. They would involve them in significant parts of their life such as marriage. Elders are wiser and have more knowledge so are more experienced.
