All living things are made of cells. Cells can be prokaryotic or eukaryotic.

Eukaryotic cells are complex and include all animal and plant cells. Prokaryotic cells are smaller and simple.
eukaryotes are organisms that are made up of eukaryotic cells.

a prokaryote is a prokaryotic cell (it’s a single-celled organism)
plant and animal cells have similarities and differences.
the different parts of a cell are called sub cellularstructure.
most animal cells have the following sub cellular structures; nucleus, cytoplasm, cellmembrane, mitochondria, ribosome.
plant cells usually have all the bits animal cells don’t, plus a few extra things. most have the following sub cellular structures; cell wall, vacuole, chloroplasts, nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, mitochondria, ribosomes.
Nucleus - contains genetic material (DNA) that controls the activities of the cell.
Cytoplasm - gel-like substance where most chemical reactions happen. It contains enzymes that control these chemical reaction.
Cell membrane - controls what goes in and out of the cell and holds the cell together.
Mitochondria - where most of the reactions for aerobic respiration take place. Respiration transfers energy that cells need to work.
Ribosomes - where proteins are made in the cell.
cell wall - made of cellulose and supports the cell and strengthens it.
Permanentvacuole - contains cell sap and a weak solution of sugar and salts.
Chloroplasts - where photosynthesis occurs.
Bacteria cells are much smaller than animalandplantcells.

Bacteria cells are prokaryotes.
Most bacterial cells are made up of the following sub cellular structure; cytoplasm, cell membrane, cell wall and a singularstrandofDNA. They may also include plasmids.
