The human nervous system

• Made up of two parts- the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system
• the nervous system is a specialised network of cells that allows for internal communication through electrical and chemical messages
• It has two main functions:

  • to collect, process and respond information in the environment
  • Coordinate different workings of organs and cells
