  • Devolution
    Devolved bodies created for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, following referendums.
    Government still no answer to West Lothian Question - Scottish MP's able to vote on English issues, English MP's can't vote on Scottish issues.
  • Human Rights Act 1998
    Incorporated ECHR into statute law.
    Can be ignored still.
  • Creation of Supreme Court
    2005 Constitutional Reform Act led to establishment of SC as highest court of appeal.
    Separation of powers.
  • Freedom Of Information Act 2000
    Watered down version of similar acts across Europe.
    Allow people to request any information about government actions and work.
