Required practicals

• RPA 1 - using a light microscope

  1. Cut an onion and separate into layers, use tweezers to peel off epidermal tissue
  2. Place epidermal tissue onto the slide
  3. Add a drop of iodine solution
  4. Place a cover slip on top
  5. Clip slide onto stage
  6. Start off with lowest magnification until best resolution is found
