    • Strength of introspection - Wundt used scientific techniques; using same stimulus (metronome) each time and standardised instructions. Means that his work was significant as it separated psychology as scientific discipline from philosophical roots. Later paved way for controlled research and led to rise of behaviourism.
    • Limitation of introspection - tries to be scientific but still subjective; introspection focused on private mental processes which are subjective and cannot be verified. Wundt had no way to objectively measure sensations, images, feelings making introspection less scientific concept in psychology.
