    • Repetition
    • Consistency

  • Repetition - Is a rethorical device that uses various strategies to repeat statements that readers might believe in his/her viewpoints.
  • Consistency - Is a technique that contends or argues a point to push the claim of the writer.
  • Inclusivity - The use of "we" in the text.
  • Argumentative Writing - This is where the writer collects data or evidence that he/she will assess in order to make a stand.
  • The purpose of Argumentative writing are:
    • Explains one's stand in a particular issue
    • Stimulate doubt in the reader's insight and beliefs in order to change their minds to side with the writer's viewpoints.
  • Expository Writing - Exposes factual information.
  • Expository writing - Calls for a writer to research, investigate, and evaluate information on a topic.
  • Expository writing is also objective; it does not include the writer's personal opinion or point of view.
  • The purpose of expository writing is to:
    • Inform readers on a topic
    • Explain ideas and concepts

  • Definition - Unlocks unfamiliar terms or concepts that will make readers understand the topic.
  • Description - Involves the portrayal or expression of ideas through the senses.
  • Narration - Presents an anecdote to introduce the theme of the topic.
  • Cause and Effect - Examines the cause and effect to the audience.
  • Comparison and Contrast - Aids the readers to understand the meaning of the information by showing the similarities and differences of it.
