  • Parts of a poem:
    Title - name of the poem.
    Line - single row of words.
    Stanza - grouped set of lines in a poem.
    Form - the overall structure/pattern in a poem.
    • Literature - written works that express ideas, emotions, and stories. Examples: novels, poems, and stories.
    • Poetry uses forms like sonnets or haikus, while songs use musical beats and patterns.
    • Prose is a form of writing that is based on spoken language.

    1. Poetry
    • Musicality & rhythm.
    • Mostly poems & songs.

    1. Prose
    • Based off of spoken language.
    • Mostly novels & stories.
    • Both poetry and song express powerful emotions.
    • Lyric poetry - expresses personal feeling in a musical and rhythmic way.
