step 1 :
connect test wire to a power supply or a bettery using crocidile clips, along with an ammeter in series and a voltmeter in parralel
step 2 :
measure the length of wire between the crocodile clips with a metre ruler as well as recording the current and p.d
step 3 :
calculate resistance for each length using the rearranged form of ohms law (R=V/I) and plot these against length
step 4 :
the relationship between resistance and length should be directly proportional, this is indicated by a straight line of best fit that goes through origin
