Frequency and Pitch

• Frequency - the number of vibrations sound makes per second (hz)
• Pitch - how the frequency is interpreted (low or high sounds)
• Wavelength - distance between successive peaks
• Wide wavelength - low pitch
• Compressed wavelength - high pitch
• Shorter amplitude - low volume
• High amplitude - higher volume
