• Shoulder - Special Tests

  • can be broadly divided into 3 categories:
  • muscle functions tests - is there weakness? how severe? is this relevant to the pts pain?
  • pain provocation tests - is the pain from the subacromial region?
  • integrity tests - is the shoulder unstable? assess the passive restraints of the shoulder to rule in/out instability
