  Definition

  ● Longer than wide

  ● Shaft with enlarged ends

  ● Contains mostly compact bone; spongy bone at ends

  ● Contains all of the bones of the limbs except wrist, ankle, and kneecap bones

  ● EPIPHYSIS - blunt ends
