  • marxists approve of home education but cannot do it
  • home education may not be possible for the working class as homeschooling require an available parent which the majority of working class families do not have as both parents work.so home education is really only an option for middle class families who can afford to only have one working family member.
  • working class students are forced into the mainstream education system which acts as an agent of secondary socialisation and instill ruling class ideology through the hidden curriculum, creating a passive and docile future workforce
  • home education is a privilege
  • deschooling refers to the deconstruction of hegemony through actively teacher students to be leaders and to be active rather than passive and docile
  • however ruling class ideology may be instilled into working class students via homeschooling as parents attitudes towards education such as immediate gratification which can have a significant impact on working class students achievement and attitudes towards higher education
