  • Ships sailed from Britian to Africa with manufactured goods such as weapons and textiles
  • In Africa, Manufactured goods would be traded for hundreds of African slaves
  • The ships would sail to the Americas where the slaves would be sold to the highest bidder
  • Traders bought sugar,cotton and tobacco with the money from the slaves
  • These goods were shipped back to Europe where they would be sold and a profit made for the trader
  • Money raised then would buy weapons and ships to set sail for Africa
