• What are tendons and what do they do?


  Connect muscle to bone - when the muscle contracts the tendons pulls on the bone to cause movement
• What are the movements at the shoulder joint?

  (ball and socket) - flexion, extension, rotation, circumduction, abduction, adduction
• What are the movements at the elbow joint?


  (hinge joint) - flexion, extension
• What are the movements at the hip joint?


  (ball and socket) - flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, /rotation, circumduction
• What are the movements at the knee joint? 


  (hinge joint) - flexion, extension
• What are the movements at the ankle joint?

  (Hinged synovial joint) - plantar flexion, dorsiflexion
