What is the
pathway
of air?
Mouth and nose - oxygen in the air moves from the
atmosphere
into the mouth and nose
Trachea - air enters the
trachea
(windpipe)
Bronchi - Air enters each lung via the
bronchi
. These are tubes that carry air from trachea into each lung
Bronchioles - these extend into smaller branches know as
bronchioles
Alveoli - These terminate at tiny sacs known as the
alveoli
which act as the sight of
gaseous
exchange
