  • PELVIC GIRDLE
    ● Also known as the bony pelvis
    ● Bony ring formed by the left and right hip bones and the sacrum
    ● Surrounds the pelvic cavity
    ● Connects the vertebral column to the lower limbs

    • forms the most important part of the coccyx bone

    • most anterior part of the coxal bone
    • Composed of inferior pubic ramus and the body of pubis

    • deep socket that receives the head of the femur
