  • Representation in the Lords
    The Lords cannot claim representation as a result of being unelected.
    However the Lords has representatives from industries.
    However party representation is higher, with no party ever achieving a majority in the Lords.
    Despite this, the Lords is considered 'Pale, stale and male'.
  • Representation in the Commons
    The Commons is more representative as a result of being elected, with FPTP showing a clear link between constituency and MP.
    However, half of the members are over 70, 3/4 are male and 95% are white.
