    Often former PMs become lobbyists as they have close connections.
    Can work on behalf of anyone.
    Cameron admitted that the Dept of Business regularly discussed plans with lobbyists.
  • Bad for democracy
    Often criticised for being faceless and lacking transparency.
    Public have a negative of lobbyists.
    Typically work in the interest of the wealthy.
  • Good for democracy
    Lobbyists represent a range of groups in society.
    Transparency rules surrounding lobbying.
    Lobbyists can raise issues that government may not be aware of.
