  • What is standard form notation?
    Standard form notation is a way of representing either very large or very small numbers easily.
  • The number is always written like this:
    • A has to be higher than 1 but lower than 10.
  • Rations in sciences allows us to compare two different numerical values in terms of their relative sizes.
  • A ratio can be expressed as a fraction, decimal or percentage
  • Converting values between different units. Must learn

    • 1 picometer / 1pm = 1 * 10(-12)meters
    • 1 nanometer /1nm = 1 * 10 (-9)meters
    • 1 micrometer / 1 um = 1 * 10 (-6) metres
    • 1 millimeter / 1mm = 1 * 10 (-3)meters
