    -a church service that follows a set pattern of prayers/readings
    -christians can feel connected to other worshippers as they participate together

    -has less of a structure and elements can be tailored to different services
    -prayers can be the service leader’s own words instead of written in a book
  • Informal worship
    -focuses on the adoration of God and not always in church
    -music is used, they believe the holy spirit is present to let them carry out God’s wishes
  • Informal worship:Evangelical
    they usually clap and shout as they worship God with their whole body
  • Informal worship:Quakers
    they hold meetings in meeting houses and have no set hymns, prayers or sermons as they believe everyone is equal
  • Private worship
    -informal and can take place at home but can be liturgical or non-liturgical
    -helps people feel closer to God
