• -worked in Zambia even though there was a HIV outbreak and economy issues since the late 1960s

  -they produced emergency food in droughts and trained communities to grow food, maintain/repair wells and plan for future droughts
• in Myanmar since 1993 by providing support for those in need and helps deal with natural disasters
• in Ethiopia - help with farming to solve malnutrition
