• Main function = Involved in responses that help us to deal with emergencies (Fight or Flight)
• Neurons from the Sympathetic Nervous System link to every organ and gland within the body to prepare it for rapid action
• Uses the neurotransmitter noradrenaline, which has an excitatory effect

  Increases pupil size (dilates) - more light for better vision ​
